usability testing & design recommendations

OCS Usability Test

In light of legalization in Canada, I thought it would be interesting to test the usability of what was, at the time, the only legal retailer of recreational cannabis in Ontario. I recruited 8 participants to do this small-scale usability test.

Using a walkthrough approach, I assigned participants tasks a typical shopper would need to complete and observed user journeys and pain points. This was mixed with a pre-test questionnaire and a follow-up interview.

In my first year at George Brown, I was asked to create a "personal digital companion." Lingo is the result of that ideation experiment - a pair of AR glasses & integrated app that translates written and spoken language real time.

I was challenged to create a brand identity for a coffee shop, and wireframes for its mobile app. I created the brand Revive, for a video game café, to be elegant, comfortable, and energetic.

ECHO

Our final year at GBC, my team and I created a concept around an offline, off-the-grid communications platform. With the goal of decentralizing social networking and news transfer, we made ECHO a system aimed at promoting offline, localized networking.
